Product Details
PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic 7-amino-acid cyclic α-MSH analogue with relative selectivity for the MC4R, the central melanocortin receptor most implicated in sexual-function and energy-balance signaling.
Mechanism of Action. PT-141 activates MC4R in the hypothalamus and limbic system, engaging central pathways that govern sexual desire and arousal. The mechanism is centrally mediated rather than vascular.
